Do you offer your tours in other languages?

Our tours are offered in English, French and German. Please contact us if you have additional questions.

WHAT IS THE PICK UP TIME FOR ON ISLAND GUESTS

For Hotel and clients at other locations, our customer service representatives with schedule your pick up time prior to the start of the tour.

What happens if my ship arrives before scheduled tour time?

Between November 1 - March 31 - tour departs the port at 10:00 AM
Between April 1 - October 31 - tour departs the port at 9:30 AM

Are there restroom breaks on the tours?

Yes. Our tours include several stops with restroom facilities.

Do we accept wheelchairs?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs at this time.

How do I pay at Restaurants on the Beach?

All restaurants on the beach accept credit cards. This can make dining more expensive for customers in countries where the exchange rate favors the Euro. Please note all prices and exchange rates.

Are there restaurants at Orient beach?

A variety of restaurants with varying cuisines are available. Please note all restaurants on the beach accept credit cards. This can make dining more expensive for customers in countries where the exchange rate favors the Euro. Please note all prices and exchange rates.

How much are tours for children 3 and under?

Children 0-10 years pay half price, children 11 and older pay full price. Parents with car-seats & booster seats pay full prices. Car seats and boosters are available at extra costs. Please request the car/booster seat when making your reservations.

What is your policy for children? Is the tour children-friendly? What about Orient Beach?

If you are traveling with children (Please be advised) Orient Beach has full nudity on the Club Orient part of the beach. Partial nudity MAY occur on the rest of the beach.

What is your cancellation policy? Does it apply if the ship misses the port?

COVID-19 Refund policy - Your deposit will be refunded if the ship fails to dock at the port on St. Marteen.  If the ship docks and client is a no show for the tour, the deposit will not be refunded.

Bernards Tours will give a full refund for cancellations up to (6) business days before departure date or vacation date. There will no refund after that time except if conditions made it impossible for the ship to dock and disembark passengers in a timely manner, if your flight is cancelled, if the vender is cancelled due to equipment of weather problems. There will be no refund of full payment or deposit if the client is a no show on the date and time of the tour. After 6 days the deposit is non refundable unless related to an action by the tour operator, which prevents the tour from proceeding as scheduled.

How and when do we pay?

We accept full payment on our booking site. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and debit cards.  You can also make a deposit with your reservation. The balance will be due before the tour begins. We accept cash (US dollars) and credit cards on the day of the tour.

Will refreshments be provided?

Yes. We offer complimentary beverages, Bottled water and Rum punch on some of our tours.

Can cruise passengers visit both Dutch and French side?

Yes. Cruise passengers have enough time to see the Dutch and French side of the island.

Do you share the information that I provide to you with third parties?

No. We do not share, rent or sell your private information to anyone.

Are you certain we will get back to our ship on time?

Yes, we are absolutely certain. Relax and enjoy your tour with 100% confidence that we will get you back to your ship/flight with time to spare. .

What happens if my ship arrives late?

Cruise ships typically arrive and depart like time.. On those rare occasions when a ship does arrive late, we make necessary accommodations to ensure that our guests’ day goes off without a hitch. A very late arrival may reduce the number of tour stops, the sites one sees, and how long we stop at each site, yet this is a very rare occurrence.

Is there duty free shopping in Marigot and Phillipsburg?

Yes, we have the best duty free shopping in the Caribbean!

Will we be picked up/dropped off at the same location? When should we expect to be picked up?

Yes, the meeting place is about 4 minutes’ walk from the ship, located next to the security booth. At the backside of the harbor. The location is called the Sand-banks.

Are your vans safe? Can we leave our valuables in the vans?

We have had no instances of theft in the last ten years. Our drivers are trustworthy and carefully chosen.

What is your cancellation policy? Does it apply if the ship misses the port?

At (6) business days before your starting date of vacation Bernard’s tours will (not allow any refund of payment) except if conditions made it impossible for the ship to dock and disembark passenger in a timely manner, or if your flight is cancelled, or if the vender is cancelled due to equipment of weather problems. There will be no refund of full payment or deposit if the client is a no show on the date and time of the tour. Is the deposit required? Can I pay in full? How much does it cost to make a reservation?

Yes, there is a required deposit. The deposit is 20% per cost of tour + processing fees.

Can you accomodate customers at the pier or walk-up customers? Do you require advanced reservations?

Unfortunately, government regulations prevent us from entering the port areas without a valid reservation. However, we accept “walk-up” customers ''only'' if there is availability on the requested. We highly recommend everyone make a reservation in order to have a chance to get on a tour.

Can I go on a tour later than the one assigned for my ship?

We would like everyone to have a chance to experience the beauty of St. Martin/St. Maarten.

You must go on the tour assigned to your ship,. We are unable to accommodate the switching of tours.
